Berlin, Germany
Born in Tokio. Lives in Berlin since 2000. I started working as a journalist while I was still a student at the University of Art in Berlin. In Berlin you can buy so-called "bio" products at every supermarket. They have become so popular that most standard supermarkets have created their own line of "bio" products and many people believe that buying such products means they support a healthy and environmentally responsible way of producing food. This idea has been marketed so extensively that we have stopped asking ourselves whether all of these products really are produced in a sustainable way.
I think it is necessary to discuss this claim in a critical way without taking for granted what the food industry is claiming to be "good" food. What should the consumer really watch out for?
